Hi [insert name],
On Tuesday, Jan. 20, 2026, the day after Martin Luther King Jr. Day, people across the United States will join together to mark the 10th annual National Day of Racial Healing.
The National Day of Racial Healing offers a unique moment for individuals, communities and organizations to focus on the values we share, build trust and create genuine connections. The experience encourages us to honor our common humanity and work together in strengthening the health and well-being of all children in every community.
Healing can happen for anyone, in any space … at home, at school, at work, in faith communities or in cultural spaces. When we lead with curiosity and compassion, speak openly and listen deeply, we create spaces in which everyone belongs.
This year’s observance will feature exciting opportunities for people to connect as individuals and in community through storytelling, education and creative expression in a variety of settings including parks, libraries or places of worship, as well as shared experiences that extend nationwide on television and online.
Visit dayofracialhealing.org to find information on community celebrations and download resources for hosting conversations or activities. The site will help you stay connected to all of the activities related to the 10th annual observance, including a special celebration broadcast, the “How We Heal” audio series, and a focus on emerging filmmakers who center stories of healing.
Please let me know if you would like to talk more about opportunities to advance racial healing and equity in our community. I’m excited about this year’s National Day of Racial Healing and I hope that you’ll join me in participating.
